Who is Hacker

Today, most people who use computers are connected to the Facebook social networking site. However, many of them are having trouble getting their personal information out of the hands of unwanted people, and they may face problems such as hacking their Facebook account.

The most likely cause of such inconvenience is not the faults on the Facebook site, but the fact that they do not use the proper security measures in their Facebook account.

In this article, we will take a look at some simple tricks to improve the security of your Facebook account.

There are a number of threats that can cause these problems.

    Adware
     Malware
     Phishing

Adware is an ad-type program that tries to redirect us to various links by raising unwanted pop-up windows. Installing a small extention adBlock Plus into your web browser can block access to malicious programs.

You can download this extention for free at adblockplus.org and this is a completely free and open source software.

But this software is only available for Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera web browsers.

Malware is another tactical program that we try to take to various malicious links. These programs will invite you to watch porn videos, especially of various popular characters. Often these programs appear to be a post shared by a friend of yours, after your friend is a victim of this malicious program.

To prevent harm from such programs, you need to exercise caution and if you think that a friend has been a victim of such a program, promptly informing him can help reduce the risk of this.

If you feel that you have already been infected with a malware program, take immediate action to change your Facebook password. Good antivirus software can mitigate this risk by scanning your computer and updating all the web borwser software used.

Whenever possible, try to use a secure web browser like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

Phishing is another way that your Facebook account could be compromised. Some people create a website that is very close to the interface of the facebook website, and if you accidentally post your password to such a website, that information will be passed on to another person.

Every time you log in to Facebook, double-check that your web browser's address bar has the same web address as www.facebook.com.

Don't give your facebook username and password to any other site. Don't try to log in to facebook without trust software.

Never request e-mail or sms messages to give you your password from facebook. Don't be fooled!

This will prevent your Facebook account from being attacked by a phishing attack.

If you think that your friend is in such a predicament, inform him or her immediately.

If you feel that you have been attacked, change your facebook password immediately. It is best to change the password of the e-mail address used for Facebook.

A few more simple steps to stay safe

Use a strong password. Use a password of at least eight characters mixed with letters, numbers and symbols.
Follow these steps for the e-mail accounts you have posted to facebook.
Don't show the e-mail address that you used to create your facebook account in the profile. To do so, use a different address or alternative address provided by facebook.
Remember to always log out if you are using a shared computer.
Install a good antivirus software on your computer

In addition to the above, there are many other special security strategies available through facebook. Let us take a look at some of the most important security strategies.

To do this you will need to login to your facebook account's security settings page and follow the steps below.

Click on the small icon in the top right corner of your profile. From the small menu, select Account Settings. Then click on the security sub menu on the left side of the web page that opens. Your facebook security settings web page is now open

This page contains some of the most important security settings, first seen in Secure Browsing. You can access this setting by clicking on the edit next to it and checking the Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) when possibe.

This enables encryption of the data exchange between you and the Facebook server and data theft in communication media.
